Angela Brown, Author, Speaker, Coach
Angela Brown, an Author, Speaker and Coach. On December 16, 2012, after attending a business event, someone T-boned her car. The accident may only have lasted thirty seconds, but it totally changed her life forever. Angela said, “I endured many months of pain and agony, been told that I have whiplash and it would get better with time.” With surgery and physiotherapy and other therapies, the bad news was that her previous profession as an Early Childhood Educator was no longer an option. At this point her neck is 95% fused and any further injury could mean being paralyzed or dead.
Even though she still suffers from pain and symptoms from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Angela gets out of bed each day with the focus to help others.
Angela’s business is focused on helping women live their best life. She is using her experience to help them move from a life of surviving to thriving.
After reading my chapter in The Courage to Change, I want the readers to feel inspired, uplifted, and encouraged; leaving them with hope knowing that no matter what challenges life brings, they can find The Courage to Change.
What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you feel like you’re enough? There have been times in my life when I’ve felt worthless and alone. As I child I remembered being told “you’re no good and you come from nothing good” I was always being criticized and ridiculed; called name like a midget, and dwarf. When I looked in the mirror, I saw someone who’s too short, ugly and unlovable. When you are subject to verbal abuse in your life, you start to believe it, and it stays in your mind. It can be emotionally crippling.
